About DocPicker
DocPicker helps small businesses, office managers, freelancers and students choose PDF and document software without wading through sponsored "top 10" lists.
Why this site exists
Buying a PDF editor or e-signature tool should take an afternoon, not a week. In practice it rarely does: pricing pages hide the billing period, free tiers have limits you only discover mid-task, and many comparison sites are ranked by who pays the highest commission. DocPicker keeps to a simple rule set — facts from the vendor's own site, a date on every price, one scoring formula for every product, and no money from vendors.
Our editor: Daniel Reyes
Daniel spent eleven years buying and rolling out software for small businesses in Austin, Texas — law offices, clinics, a property manager and a handful of nonprofits. Most of those projects started with the same question: which PDF and signing tools are worth paying for? DocPicker is his answer, kept up to date.
In that job Daniel ran a lot of small software trials: moving a law office off paper signatures, choosing OCR for a clinic's scanned intake forms, deciding whether a ten-person team really needed a full desktop PDF suite on every laptop. The questions on this site — what does it cost per person per month, what's missing from the cheap plan, does it run on the computers we already have — are the ones he had to answer for clients.
He writes and checks every review himself. He has no financial relationship with any vendor listed here.
How we make money
Right now, we don't. There are no ads, affiliate links or sponsored placements on DocPicker. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on this page and on every affected page, and it will not affect scores.
Trademarks and independence
DocPicker (adobeacrobatai.com) is an independent software review site. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Adobe Inc. Adobe and Acrobat are trademarks of Adobe Inc. All other product names are trademarks of their owners.
The domain name refers to the category of PDF and AI-document software we review. Product names are used only to identify the products being compared. We do not use vendor logos; the coloured initials on each review are our own design.
