Privacy policy

The short version
DocPicker sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and loads nothing from third-party servers. We don't have user accounts.
Your shortlist, comparer and wizard answers
Products you save to your shortlist are stored in your own browser using localStorage, under the key docpicker.shortlist. They are never sent to us. Comparisons and wizard answers are calculated in your browser and are not transmitted. Clear your browser's site data to remove the shortlist.
Server logs
Like almost every web server, ours records standard request logs: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page and browser user-agent. We use them in aggregate to count visits, spot broken links and block abuse. Logs are not used to build profiles and are not sold or shared, except where required by law. Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes requests to protect and speed up the site under its own privacy policy.
If you email us at [email protected], we use your address and message only to reply and, for corrections, to verify and record the change. We don't add you to any mailing list. Ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Links to vendors
Product pages link to vendors' websites. Once you leave DocPicker, the vendor's own privacy policy applies.
Children
DocPicker is aimed at adults choosing business software and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost none, the practical answer is usually your emails — write to [email protected] and we'll act on your request.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
