Adobe's PDF suite in Standard, Pro and AI-bundled Studio tiers, sold as subscriptions

Prices verified October 30, 2026 on the vendor's site

Overview

Adobe Acrobat is the subscription PDF suite from the company that created the format. It ships in three tiers. Acrobat Standard handles editing, conversion to and from Office formats, form filling and e-signature requests. Acrobat Pro adds OCR for scanned files, PDF comparison, redaction, web forms and bulk signature sending. Acrobat Studio bundles Pro with the AI Assistant, PDF Spaces for asking questions across several files, and Adobe Express Premium. In the US, individual plans on an annual commitment billed monthly run from US$14.99 to US$24.99 a month, and team licenses from US$16.99 to US$29.99. Paid plans come with desktop apps for Windows and macOS, the browser-based Acrobat online tools, mobile apps and 100GB of cloud storage. There is no perpetual license, and redaction and OCR are only in Pro and above, so Standard buyers miss common compliance tools.

Who it's for

Organizations that exchange PDFs with clients and partners who already use Acrobat, legal and finance teams that need redaction, OCR and bulk e-signature in one package, and knowledge workers who want built-in AI summaries and multi-document Q&A without adding another vendor.
