Page-metered PDF Q&A with cited answers, priced from $9.99/month for three users
Prices verified October 30, 2026 on the vendor's site
Overview
Humata is a web-based AI assistant for asking questions about uploaded documents. It reads your files and answers with citations that point back to the relevant passages, and it can summarize and compare documents. Pricing is metered by pages processed each month instead of by file count. The Free plan covers 60 pages for one user. Expert costs $9.99 a month, includes up to three users and 500 pages, and charges $0.02 for each additional page. Team costs $49 per user per month for up to ten users and 5,000 pages, and it is the first tier with OCR for scanned files, folder- and department-level permissions, and a SOC-2 certificate. Enterprise is quoted individually and adds an uptime SLA. Billing is monthly only, and we found no desktop or mobile apps on the official site.
Who it's for
Researchers, analysts and small professional teams who read long technical papers or reports and need answers they can trace to a source. Teams that work with scanned documents, or that need permission controls, should budget for the Team plan. Students and solo users can start on the Free plan.
